Bandung Regency through the Tirta Raharja Regional Water Supply Company (Perumda) targets clean water services through a 60 percent pipeline network in 2023 from the current condition of only 24 percent.
“Yes, the target is that big and it is in accordance with the master plan for the development of drinking water supply systems (SPAM) in Bandung Regency in 2023,” Director of Perumda Tirta Raharja Drinking Water, Rudie Kusmayadi, quoted from Antara on Thursday (8/8/2019) ).
According to Rudie, the memorandum of understanding is the first step in the development of SPAM in the service area of Tirta Raharja Water Supply Perumda, Bandung Regency, West Java.
He said, his side collaborated with Moya Indonesia to pursue the target of realization of service coverage of 60 percent in 2023.
“The gap is quite large. Well, we also need to pursue this rather difficult, because indeed the construction of SPAM requires a substantial cost, “he said.
Therefore, he continued, his party is exploring cooperation with the private sector. “From the results of the study, if it is visible, later with the innovation technology owned by Moya Indonesia and Tirta Raharja, we will develop together in the object of cooperation,” he said.
Rudie is optimistic about the prospect of this cooperation because Bandung Regency has the potential to develop a large SPAM, partly because of the availability of sufficient raw water, which is sourced from four rivers, one of which is the Citarum River.
